1.The Outline of This Webinar　<開催概要>

Japan is facing the "New Phase" with the COVID-19 pandemic gradually, and has been
trying to create "New Normal" from this difficulty.
In this webinar, first, the summary of the Covid-19's impact on Japanese higher
education was presented by "MEXT". Followed by the case studies of 2 Japanese leading universities, "Kwansei Gakuin University" and "Waseda University", which are both JAFSA's institutional board members.
Through this webinar, we hope the audience learnt the latest situation of Japanese higher education ,and grabbed the tips to cope with the pandemic and to build resilience after COVID-19.

長引くCOVID-19の世界的な感染拡大により、2020年の国際交流や留学の現場は、近年稀に見る大打撃を受けております。
2020年6月に「COVID-19をめぐる日本の国際高等教育の現在と今後」について、JAFSA特別ウェビナーを実施し大変なご反響を頂きました。続く2020年10月14日にJAFSA特別ウェビナー第2弾として、日本の現状を海外へ発信という位置づけのもと、英語によるJAFSA特別ウェビナーを実施致しました。
最初に【文部科学省】より「日本の大学の国際化とCOVID-19」について、10月現在の最新情報を発表(録画)、続いてJAFSA理事大学の【早稲田大学】(前会長校) 留学センター所長 エルウッド教授、【関西学院大学】(副会長校) 国際教育・協力センター委員　水戸教授より、コロナ禍を受けて変わったこと、取り組みなど具体的な「大学事例」をご発表いただきました(ライブ)。ファシリテーターは【立命館アジア太平洋大学】(JAFSA理事大学)の近藤教授です。会の終わりにはZoomのQ&Aシステムを利用し参加者・登壇者による「質疑応答」を設定し、国内外より多くの反応がありました。
今回のJAFSA特別ウェビナーを通じ、世界的なコロナ禍と高等教育の現場の今後を考えていく良い機会であったと思います。
